About the project

My goal for the personal project is to learn the majority or more that I can of Japanese. For me to not depend on a tourist guide for every place I visit in japan.
This is changing for me because I can learn a new language.

My goal is specific because I want to learn the majority or more that I can of Japanese. Also it is measurable because I'll learn during the school year. It is attainable if I put effort into it. It is relevant because then I don't depend on the guide totally. It is Time-Bound because I will practice during the school year.

The global context related to my goal is “personal and cultural expression”. It's related to my project because my project is related to knowing the culture of another country. This means that in order to carry out my project I need to learn and understand part of the culture (I need to study the language) so when I travel to that country I could travel independently.

Before starting this project I knew some words but I wanted to expand my knowledge. Some of the words I knew are: Yes, enjoy your meal and goodbye.

I am learning japanese in an app called Duolingo. I discovered it when I was in my last school year. A classmate told me about this app and I chose it because I was already using it to learn french. Then I got the idea of learning japanese in the app. I know I can improve my research skills for better.
