My goal is to create a website that contains information about the topic of dreams. It will include my research to answer the question “why do we dream” and additional data on it, such as facts, types of dreams, different opinions on it, etc. The reason why I chose this topic is simply because of curiosity that suddenly came to mind during the start of the project. It also personally relates to my interests because I find science in general very fascinating.

This research is especially challenging because not even scientists have a solid answer to what dreams are or how they work. Although they´ve discovered REM sleep it’s still not clear if dreams are necessary for our lives. For this project I will be using the global context: “Scientific and technological innovation”. This is because it’s the closest to having a connection with my project, “possible explorations” are related to science → since my goal revolves around scientific facts and knowledge it’s the most fitting, also because it’s not completely certain what dreams are an exploration of the brain. additionally my goal is to research for a scientific explanation of dreams it relates the most with this global context.

SMART goal
S (specific) – Researching “Why do we dream?” & “Does psychology have a connection to dreams too?”- I will research and use the widest variety of sources to be able to analyze effectively the information. I want to focus more in the scientific reasoning but also acknowledge other things
M (measurable) - I'm mostly going to use the internet for this project but I will use some books I own as well. I'll also keep recording the sources so I know from where I got the wrong or incomplete information. The final product will be the answered questions & maybe some personal theories as well
A(attainable)- I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get a significant amount of the information I need since I've seen some stuff in books
R (relevant) - My goal to solve my curiosity aligns with this project. Plus, I might even get motivated to do something
T (Time based) - I think it won’t take too much time if I work using time wisely. Maybe I'll be able to do it in 3 months at max
